Parlem Group increases EBITDA by 77% to €5.4M and closes 2024 with nearly €50M in revenue

Parlem Group continues to showcase its resilience and consistent growth in a telecommunications market characterized by intense competition and aggressive commercial strategies over the past year. According to preliminary results for the 2024 fiscal year (pending audit), the Catalan group has achieved a revenue of €49.7 million, reflecting a 9.51% increase compared to the previous year (€45.4M in 2023). Additionally, recurrent EBITDA has risen by 77%, reaching €5.4 million compared to €3.04M in 2023.

These results align with the company’s strategic objective of continued growth and profitability improvement. Over just two years, revenues have increased by 49% (from €33.4M in 2022 to €49.7M in 2024), while recurrent EBITDA has improved by €7.3M, rising from -€1.9M in 2022 to €5.4M in 2024.

Xavier Capellades, CEO of Parlem Group, emphasized: “We are building a group that combines growth, profitability, and positive operational cash flow. These results highlight that Parlem is now a fully consolidated group with great long-term growth potential.”

The results, still pending audit, include operations from Parlem Telecom in Catalonia, Aproop Telecom in the Valencian Community, and Toxo Telecom in Galicia. Overall, the group surpassed 255,000 contracted services in 2024, marking a 10.6% increase compared to the previous year, with a particular emphasis on fiber service growth (+13.91%).

Parlem’s growth is also reflected in its increased operating margin, supported by an improvement in average revenue per user (ARPU), which rose from €36.9 in 2023 to €37.73 in 2024. Additionally, the Churn Rate remains at an outstanding 1.5% (one of the best in the market), positioning Parlem Group as one of the most highly rated telecom operators by consumers, a recognition given for the second consecutive year in the survey conducted by the Organization of Consumers and Users (OCU).

The Group has continued its commitment to regional expansion with the acquisition of the telecom unit of the Pinergia cooperative, operating in the Pyrenees and Cerdanya under the Xartic brand. Furthermore, Parlem has secured €10 million in financing to drive its organic growth and potential future inorganic operations.

On the labor front, Parlem Group continues to prioritize work-life balance, flexibility, and talent acquisition & retention. Underscoring the commitment to these principles, the company has proactively implemented a 37.5-hour workweek effective January 1, 2025, ahead of future regulatory changes, supported by its strong productivity metrics and low absenteeism rates.

Finally, in terms of the stock market, Parlem’s share price increased by 17.42% in 2024, rising from €2.81 to €3.30 as of December 31, with a revaluation potential of over 37%, according to market analysts.

With these results, Parlem Group reaffirms its position as a leading player in the telecommunications sector, standing out for its proximity, quality, and innovation capabilities, establishing a solid foundation for continued progress into the future.
